We had a few minutes to shop before our next task and I found some really cute shoes for only 10 Euro. The man who sold them to me was so nice. Since I took some other girls to the table he gave me some of my money back! While we were shopping, Steven and some of the girls went to get coffee. The owner of the coffee shop was a believer. However, Steven didn't speak French so he got the missionary to come talk with him. The believer said he was so encouraged that we were there to tell others about Jesus. The missionaries now have one more contact to help them in their task.
After we passed out videos we prayer walked the location where the next team is coming to work in a few weeks. Then we split up to stuff mailboxes with literature.
After we finished that task we went to the missionaries house for lunch. They had a really neat way of giving thanks for the meal. Everyone went around the room and said one thing they were thankful for and then someone closed the prayer. We had a debriefing time with the team leader and it was so encouraging to talk about all of the wonderful things God allowed us to be a part of during the week.
After our debriefing we went back to the hotel to get ready for the Louvre. Friday night is youth night so all of us got in free. It's odd to think that Steven and I are still considered youth because we are under 26. We saw lots of incredible art and then headed back to the hotel to get ready to leave at 4:45 am the next morning.
Interesting fact for those of you who went to Mexico with me in college. Miriam (in this slide show) was a friend visiting one of the journeymen and she works at the Big Heart Orphanage in Reynosa, Mexico. How crazy to meet someone from where we've been all the way across the world.
